It might be boring to talk about the weather, but building a weather forecast site for one of the biggest german broadcast stations isn’t.
We created the JAVA backend and the barrier free webfrontend to visualise the current european weather situation and give detailed forecasts.

Apocalypsis ist ein dreizehnteiliger Serienroman, der speziell für digitale Endgeräte entwickelt wurde: als App für iPad, iPhone und Android Geräte, als E-Book, als Read-&-Listen-Version und als Audio-Download.
Für den Bastei Lübbe Verlag erstellten wir die Technik, den “Webnovel-Reader” und führten die komplette Gestaltung und multimediale Produktion durch.

Deutsche Post DHL presented its global study of the future, examining mega trends up to 2020 and beyond. The broad debate this initiated is continued by CEO Frank Appel, together with leading experts, in the form of the discussion series “Delphi Dialog 2020”.
We designed and implemented a digital magazine having videos and interactive content of the events to the DP DHL Delphi Dialog 2020.

The portal centered on the o2 Blue iPad internet rate
An iPad 3G. What a marvelous device! But it becomes even more exciting when it can be online always, without limits.
Therefore, o2 has developed the Blue data rates. And we in turn have created, devised and layouted the o2 Blue customer portal. This is where happy iPad owners go immediately after inserting the Micro-SD Card. All they have to do now is register and let the surfing begin.
All other functions and settings of this internet rate can also be accessed here via the iPad – comfortably, directly and at any time.
Naturally we have used only the best ingredients for a state-of-the-art device such as this: HTML5 and CSS3.

WDR Traffic Watch
Barrier free re-launch
High-performance, barrier free, low maintenance and always up to date – those were the technical requirements for the re-launch of the WDR (West German Broadcasting Cologne) traffic watch editorial.
With up to 10 Million visits per month, this user portal is among the most-accesses sites of the WDR. Because of this, the developers made performance one of their top priorities in the creation of the portal. This included cushioning peak demands during the vacation seasons. Using a double caching system of the TMC web services as well as the JSP pages, the task of providing short loading times, even in peak access situations, could be achieved.
Our task for this project also included processing the geographic data and the graphical illustration of the traffic jams in static and dynamic maps.

Application for the intranet
What road does music take from the record label to the radio station? Today, it all happens digitally! We implemented an internet application with which music editors were able to sample, administer and discuss the latest hits with their colleagues in a digital realm.
The albums and tracks can then automatically be burned on CD or transferred directly to the transmission systems. The internal audio distribution system of the ARD TV (consortium of German public-broadcasting institutions, ARD – and its TV-Program „Das Erste“), the sampling platform of the “Phononet” music industry, as well as the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) are all data sources connected to this system.

Showcase for the International Broadcasting Exhibition (IFA) in 2009
Consumer Electronics HTML, known as CE-HTML, is the new standard for the continuous programmatic merge of TV, radio and internet. Modern TV sets can display interactive elements and contents from the internet in accordance with the currently playing TV program. The contents and layouts of these pages are specifically adapted to the terminal device and displayed in HD.
We created showcase applications for the radio stations SWR3 and 1LIVE, presented at the IFA in 2009. These allow the user to get information regarding the show, the radio hosts, and the titles of the songs, all while he is listening to the radio broadcast. Additional services and information such as podcasts and other broadcasting streams are also readily available at the click of the remote control.
